Curating a tapestry of sensory mythologies.

ABOUT

Curating a tapestry of sensory mythologies, The Weaver is a new print literary magazine reviving a patronage of the arts—created for those unshakeably devoted to the written word. Born out of a love of meaning-making, Kim Rashidi’s magazine seeks emerging and established writers to weave together worlds of felt meaning. We are taking back the narrative of our places—in bodies, in the arts, in the world. We seek voices that reject patriarchal thinking and lean into an absurd yet whimsical worldview. Exploring the ineffable, the mystical, or the culturally significant, each issue is a tapestry of individual experiences anchored by a governing theme. As a nod to the Little Magazines of the 1890s, The Weaver is and will remain a small publication with only 4-7 contributors for each issue and will operate on a subscription basis. We value our artists and believe in paying for their work: writers get paid a flat fee + receive a revenue sharing royalty.
